Steam: Platform breaks phenomenal record equal twice
On the Black Friday weekend, there was a reason to celebrate at Valve: Thanks to the massive onslaught of PC players, the platform steam could break a considerable record — and even two times.
Last weekend, Steam was able to set up a new player record on Saturday — just to overhear him immediately on Sunday. With More than 27 million simultaneously logged in players, the PC platform was able to set an impressive record. Reasons for the high-altitude flight should be several sales and a holiday in the US.

On Saturday, Steam recorded the previous high brand of 27.182.165 simultaneously logged-in players. With this player flood could be the previous record from April 2021 with 26.9 million players. The success of the past weekend could certainly be achieved because of the US Holiday Thanksgiving, the Black Friday actions of various dealers and the in-house Steam-Sale, in which countless top games are still greatly reduced until December 1st.
New records in 2022 with the Steam Deck?
While the new player record undoubtedly proves that the steam platform goes dazzling, Valve could tie new top marks next year. After all, the new handheld console, the Steam Deck, should appear in February 2022. How many gamers the console is really in the hands at the beginning, but is still open — after all, Valve has to fight with the material shortage, which has been doing the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S for a year to real rarities for a year.
